A recent special issue in the journal Neuroimage, edited By Jessica Turner, Simon Eickhoff, John Van Horn and Tom Nichols, provides a snapshot of the state of neuroimaging data sharing in 2015. More than 40 repositories or datasets are being introduced and described in the first issue, and a second issue to follow. The vast amount of data that is available to the community through these repositories attests to the rapid growth of data sharing, and the transformation of neuroimaging into a data-intense field aimed at the understanding of fundamental principles and inter-individual variability. See http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/art... for the introductory editorial for this issue and http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/jou... for the complete issue.
