Neuroshare Revisited Posted By: Janis Breeze - Oct 17, 2011Tool/Resource: NITRC Community The Neuroshare API (http://neuroshare.sourceforge.net) was developed as a standard interface to access neurophysiological experiment data. Many vendors provide Neuroshare libraries for their data formats, and many tools for neurophysiology data analysis rely on this standard to read from a variety of files. The Neuroshare approach has proven highly useful, but it also has limitations. As a satelliite meeting of the upcoming SfN meeting, INCF is hosting a discussion on the state of Neuroshare and possible future developments. We invite data acquisition system vendors, data analysis software developers, and users to discuss the needs as well as the options for improving and facilitating access to neurophysiological data. The four-hour meeting will be held Nov 12, 2011 at the Washington Convention Center. Attendance is limited and registration is required: please email neuroshare@incf.org. |
