NITRC Image Repository Posted By: David Kennedy - Sep 14, 2011Tool/Resource: NITRC Community Introducing NITRC-IR: NITRC has been working on a prototype of en extensible data store concept to potentially provide fee-for-service data storage (that is nicely integrated with NITRC itself, of course) in the future. Named NITRC-IR (IR for Image Resource), this data store will eventually 'readable' by numerous 'front ends' (such as the current NITRC FRS (file release system), XNAT, NIF, etc.). An an initial proof of concept, we can now demo a copy of the 1000 Functional Connectomes data under an XNAT instance. We cordially invite you to check it out. To access the sample NITRC-IR release, navigate to the '1000 Functional Connectomes' project: http://www.nitrc.org/projects/fcon_1000 and click on the 'Image Repository' tab on the left. This will take you to the fcon_1000 project in XNAT in our IR environment. Once in the NITRC-IR, the upper left NITRC logo will take you back to the home page of NITRC (this will be updated to take you directly to the specific, associated NITRC project in the future). This demo data release is a copy of the original 1000 Functional Connectomes data release. Includes 1288 subjects with mprage anonymized & skullstripped and resting state NIfTI files, and the released metadata (age, gender, handedness, TR, field strength as well as some of essential the NIfTI header data). You can see the meta data when you drill down far enough; and you can search on the field strength and resting state TR as well as subject demographic details in the 'advanced search'. Any feedback or comments on this implementation can be provided to moderator@nitrc.org Enjoy and happy data finding... -The NITRC Team |
