Release of LONI Pipeline V. 5.4 (March 2012)

Pipeline version 5.4 is available for download. This version includes module suggest, module and workflow runtime estimate features, ranked search on server library, tabbed view of server and personal libraries, easier connection creation modes, edit workflow in plain text/XML view, and grid memory usage information. Interface and other smaller improvements such as line numbers on data modules, detection of external change of workflow files, better module group name layout on top of canvas, sending workflow by email on Mac OS are also in this version. LONI Pipeline Version 5.2.1 and Pipeline Server 1.1.1

The newest release of LONI Pipeline v. 5.2.1 is a free workflow application primarily aimed at neuroimaging researchers, but is useful for many other fields of science. The Pipeline Client runs on your PC/Mac/Linux computer upon which you can create sophisticated processing workflows using a variety of commonly available executable tools (e.g. FSL, AIR, FreeSurfer, AFNI, etc). Additionally, the Distributed Pipeline Server v. 1.1.1 can be easily installed on your Linux cluster and you can submit processing jobs directly to your own compute systems. Pipeline Version 5.1.1 released September 29, 2010

Pipeline version 5.1.1 is available for download (http://pipeline.loni.ucla.edu/). This version includes workflow management, where server can manage number of active (running and queued) workflows per user. The server terminal tool also includes user usage panel and dynamic preferences panel. There are also lots of bug fixes and improvements. Pipeline version 5.1 was released on September 16, 2010. This version of the Pipeline environment includes a number of new features, improvements and bug-fixes. Pipeline Version 4.4

(September 21, 2009) Pipeline version 4.4 is available. This version includes server features such as submit jobs on behalf of the user, restarting the server without affecting any running and queued jobs. This version also improves performance when reconnecting active sessions. LONI Viewer is extended to support .scene files, and output data files can be viewed in Execution Log window.

Pipeline Version 4.3.3

(July 15, 2009) Pipeline version 4.3.3 is available. This version contains minor bug fixes including GUI bugs in server changer, local file browser, and bug that may cause server misbehave when DRMAA is enabled. It also fixes Pipeline updater problem in Windows Vista and IDA File Conversions feature for Windows.

New build with some bug fixes

We had a couple bugs that were recently brought to our attention, and they were too big to ignore, so today we're releasing version 4.0.1. You may have not notice any difference, but it's good to get it just in case. The Linux and Solaris pipeline servers will not be updated until sometime this weekend, but you will still be able to connect to them with this new version of the client or the previous one.

LONI Pipeline news

Things have been pretty quiet on the Pipeline site lately, so here's some information on what's been going on lately.

For version 4.1, we've shifted our priorities from data model changes to supporting multiple servers (and local computers) all in one workflow. This will allow you to mix programs on completely different computers, and even execute programs on your desktop machine within a single workflow. Just as before, you won't have to worry about intermediate data between programs, and in this version you won't have to worry about moving intermediate data between computers either. More information will be posted later.

On the cluster front, we're continuing to move all our resources into a single Linux cluster. We currently have approximately 240 execution slots on our Linux cluster (cranium.loni.ucla.edu) and about 180 execution slots on our Solaris cluster (pipelinev4.loni.ucla.edu). As time and resources permit, we will be moving more of those execution slots to the Linux cluster.

We've also been hard at work updating the module definitions on our Linux cluster. Many of the definitions have more accurate citations, parameter listings, descriptions and executable version numbers. FSL 3.3 has been removed, and we've added FSL 4.0 definitions in it's place (workflows referencing FSL 3.3 will still continue to function, but you won't be able to create new workflows from FSL 3.3 definitions). We're still ironing out all the bugs in the library, but things have improved a lot lately.

LONI Pipeline Version 4.0 Release now available
