this file can be downloaded and unzipped to overwrite the files in the main VAMCA
directory thereby updating the VAMCA software to its most recent version.

This update adds the ability to plot four different PALS-12 atlases onto
the surface flatmaps: Brodmann areas, Visuotopy, Lobes, and Modalities.
The atlases were imported from sumsdb.wustl.edu.

After downloading and installing (unzipping) the main 2009 VAMCA .zip file, this file can be downloaded and unzipped to overwrite the files in the main VAMCA directory thereby updating the VAMCA software to its most recent version.

The new version improves labeling and displaying mean surface anatomy, robustness of reading coordinate input text files, accuracy of surface distance measurements, accuracy of auxilliary coordinate plotting, and some minor bugs.

This file can be downloaded and unzipped to overwrite the original 2009 release and includes all of the changes in the 2010 update as well.

This cumulative update makes a few changes/additions to the 2010 update:

1) Slightly refines the displayed surface curvature maps "Cg.*.mat" to correct a small mislocalization in the right hemisphere.
2) Improves the display of surface curvature to emphasize area having less reliable mean anatomy.
3) Upadates a few small changes/bugs in the main program "vamca" dealing with odd input files.
4) Refines and adds some help text to the analysis redisplay function "vamcaPlot".
5) Adds a MatLab function "Es2.m.txt" that can be used in case the Mex file Es2.c cannot be compiled (or the supplied .dll or .mexgl do not run).

vamca August 2010 Update

This is an optional update package for the VAMCA package that adds a few additional features:

1) Better documentation and tutorial
2) Permits more sophisticated ROI density analyses
3) Allows one to enter activated anatomically specified ROIs directly when studies only report those rather than normalized 3D coordinates (for use in ROI analyses only).
4) Allows the use of average cortical surfaces rather than many individual surfaces in order to speed up analyses or to handle very large analyses.
5) Some minor tweaks throughout.

To use, just unzip it into the VAMCA directory that you made when installing the main package.
