  <description>Dr Nagesh Adluru from Prof Andrew Alexander's group at Wisconsin-Madison recently developed a first-of-its-kind DTI template for rhesus macaques.  The DTI template is built from over 250 rhesus monkeys, the largest number ever used to build such a template.  The template construction used an optimized version of DTI-TK tailored for monkey brains.  The most recent release of DTI-TK has incorporated these optimizations and everyone can now benefit from this effort.
