Sounds like a Linux vs Mac character problem in the parameter file, which can be related to which editor is used to modify the file.

Dear Ruiliang,

Did you manage to get DKE working on mac?I apologize for the delay.

Best
Hi Emilie,

Thanks for the guide. Somehow the ./run_dke.sh doesn't work and I did the path setting manually and the software works now. I tried to run some test on my data (work good in the Linux DKE), here is the error I got:
Class bootstrap is implemented in both /Applications/MATLAB/MATLAB_Compiler_Runtime/v82/bin/maci64/libmwlaunchermain.dylib and /Applications/DKE/dke.app/Contents/MacOS/dke. One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.
Diffusional Kurtosis Estimator (DKE) version 2.6.0, February 2015
Error using dke (line 47)
Error: The input character is not valid in MATLAB statements or expressions.

The parameter file is also attached. Please let me know if you find the problems.

Thanks a lot!
Hi Ruiliang try this!

Open a terminal cd to the folder that contains the executables. Run dke with ./run_dke.sh <path to matlab compiler> <path to dkeparameters.dat>

Let me know if this does not work!
Best,
Hi,

I'm trying to install the DKE on my Mac system OS X Yosemite. There is one version online but I didn't find any installation guide file. Could you give me some guide through?

Thanks
Hi Kirk,

I will bring this up in our next development meeting!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention,
Best,
Originally posted by Emilie McKinnon:
Let us know if there is anything you would like to see in the next release of DKE!
Hi Emilie,

As we discussed, in Bruker ParaVision 6.0 the requested b-values and effective b-values can be significantly different and direction dependent (due primarily to the contribution from spoiler gradients). I'm hoping Bruker will be able to re-adjust the diffusion gradients so that what we ask for, is what we get.

But, the worst case scenario is that for ParaVision 6.0 data, DKE (and other DWI software) will need to be able to accommodate a different b-value for EVERY gradient direction. Annoying, but happy to help make this happen if I can.

Cheers,

Hello,

DKE is a very usefull tool for those interested in DKI studies.

I have noted that the skull region is more predominant in parametric output of DKE.
Attached screen for your reference. It would be great we can suppress this data a bit.

Thanks a lot.

RE: java error for DKE

Dear Ahmed,

I have not encountered this problem before. But after looking on the internet I found the following: Error 0xc0000005 is very often (but not always) an access permissions type of problem. Do you have full access to your computer? I have also found some forums saying it might be an internal bug with that JRE version. Are you using the Java that came with the MCR or did you have another version installed?
Your DKEparameters feel looks ok, so the issue lies elsewhere. I will ask some more input and get back to you!

Best,
