Demographics v1.2 not found (only version 1.1

Hi Candishare Team,

I could find the version 1.1 of Demographics information at
http://www.nitrc.org/docman/view.php/377/1119/SchizBull_2008%20Demographics%20V1.1

However, according to
http://www.nitrc.org/docman/view.php/377/1130/CANDIShare%20Data%20Dictionary
there is a more updated version 1.2 with more complete information including cognition scores.

I am sorry, but I could not find the version 1.2 of the Demographics file

Any help?

Many thanks.
A document that describes the gdf file format (in which the .otl files are written) can be found at: http://www.nitrc.org/docman/view.php/377/1205/gdf.txt

Thanks to Andy for having a version of the old CMA format!

SchizBull 2008 Outlines Released

<span class="nitrc">We are pleased to announce the release of the original 'outline'
files for the SchixBull-2008 (Frazier JA, Hodge SM, Breeze JL, Giuliano
AJ, Terry JE, Moore CM, Kennedy DN, Lopez-Larson MP, Caviness VS,
Seidman LJ, Zablotsky B, Makris N. Diagnostic and sex effects on limbic
volumes in early-onset bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Schizophr
Bull. 2008 Jan;34(1):37-46.) project. This release can be accessed at http://www.nitrc.org/frs/download.php/50...

While the segmentation results have long been available in the NIfTI
n-ary format, this release contains the original outline files (.otl) as
generated in the Cardviews software. As the intrinsic data model for
the 'outline' of Cardviews versus the 'voxel-label' based NIfTI differ,
there are minor voxel differences in these two versions relative to the
exact intent and execution of the segmentation as processed by the
original segmenter. While the NIfTI versions of the segmentation are
deemed to be more accessible for reuse by the community, the release of
the .otl versions are provided for completeness and transparency.</span>

Individual clinical scores

Hi Candishare Team,

Is it possible to share individual subject's clinical scores in all of three clinical groups (schizophrenia, bipolar without psychosis and bipoar with psychosis). Additionally, if there's any medication information on individual subjects would be highly appreciated.

Looking forward and many thanks.
results in the CANDIShare release.

The atlases are based upon MRI images and segmentation results of all 4
diagnostic groups (Healthy Controls (N=29), Schizophrenia Spectrum
(N=20), Bipolar Disorder with Psychosis (N=19), and Bipolar Disorder
without Psychosis (N=35)) from the article: Frazier JA, Hodge SM, Breeze
JL, Giuliano AJ, Terry JE, Moore CM, Kennedy DN, Lopez-Larson MP,

No-Strings attached...

So, you want your data with no strings attached? Then the Skitz_Bull_2008 V1.0 is for you! we happily provide the MRI imaging data with (relatively) no strings. You don't hve to be a NIRC member, you do not need to provide us your username and email, and you do not have to acknowledge the license that this data is distributed under (Creative Commons: Attribute). There is a string, of course, even though we do not make you acknowledge the licence, that IS the license this data is distributed under, and you are obbligated to it's terms, like it or not. But, this V1.0 release is as close to no strings attached as possible.

Version 1.1 includes the CMA 'general' segmentation, and it does have some strings, although we hope that these are minimal and not overly burdensome. You do have to provide a email address (and we use the NITRC User registration as a proxy for emil authentication), and you are asked to 'click through' an acknowledgement of the license. Hey, you are held liable to the licence anyway, so what's a click of acknowledgement and a little physical reminder of the terms. Why the email address, you ask? We HOPE that the data we are providing is perfect, and free of any errors or misrepresentations. On the other hand, experience has taught us that even with the best of intentions, some error may be present. We will correct any error, and re-release a new version of the data. WE feel obligated, as the data reflect our reputation as well, that we attempt to inform all prior users of the data of any errors and corrections that were necessitated. It's your reputation as a user and our reputation as a provider that we're trying to protect. We think that's worth an email address. (Plus, NITRC is a great organization to belong to, but perhaps we're biased...)

So, we're now in the 'promotion' phase of this first release. I've posted an announcement regarding the availablity of this data to: NIDAG, SPM, FSL, INCH Datasharing Task Force and INCF datasharing Workshop groups.

Can YOU think of other places to promote this? If so, fees free to advertise for us, or at least let us know where you suggest, and we'll try and follow up.

A 'news item' or somesort of other publication is in the works, tho that's a more lugubrious dissemination mode... I hope the News release from this on NITRC will make NITRC's home page soon, that'll hit Facebook and Twitter, now that'd realtime social networking dissemination!

(I wish this editor had spel checking..., sounds like a eature request for NITRC)
